Four months ago Donny Ham, was diagnosed with lymphoma – something that is still shocking and hard to believe. Donny, AKA Don to many of his adult friends, has such a great sense of humor, is a great father, loving son, wonderful brother to 3 siblings, and much-loved uncle to over 9 nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews.
He also served his country as a Marine for four years.
Our hearts and prayers are going out to Donny for a full recovery and our hearts ache since we are so far away.
Donny is currently undergoing chemo and other forms of aggressive treatments in Denmark. Although his prognosis is good, the chemo and other treatments are taking a toll, and he needs family to help him out with activities of daily living and morale support. His friends and extended family in Denmark have been extremely supportive and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts! But, the time has come for his family from the U.S. to be with him, so I am arranging for family members to travel to Denmark to be with him and care for him while he continues to undergo treatment for this scary and serious illness.
Donny is unable to work while undergoing treatment, and family members traveling to Denmark to care for him will need to take leave without pay.
Our goal is to raise at least $7,000 to pay for airfare and routine expenses that would be incurred for caring for someone with a serious illness while maintaining a household.
If you are able and would like to donate to this campaign we thank you most graciously – no amount is too small!
The more we raise, the longer someone can stay to care for him.
Thank you for your support!
